This book is a “must-read” for anyone who wants to get a head start into the vast and exciting world that AI brings.
I’m an investor. Before reading this book I kept hearing and seeing “AI” everywhere, but it didn’t mean anything to me.
So I read this AI book and found it easy to understand. It’s not “techie” but more for the average person.
After downloading Chat GPT that Rick wrote about, I asked the AI agent to talk about the ways to invest. I found the AI agent was a big help in pinpointing opportunities, and it even built an options investment plan based on my questions. I was tempted to dive right in!

And yes, it tackles the big scary questions too: is AI taking jobs? It turns out that it’s more about creating opportunities than stealing them. Makes the future of tech feel a lot less terrifying and a lot more doable.

Amazing introduction into this space
This book was simple yet one of the most practical I have ever read. The way it demystifies the whole topic is done with militant precision, which is fitting for the author who served in the military. It tackles a daunting subject and then shows how AI is already part of our everyday lives, even in our smartphones.
I particularly enjoyed the chapter on bias, especially the reference to CNET and its exploration of how algorithms can send you down rabbit holes. This was an aspect I had never considered before, and it made me second-guess many of the things I had previously looked into with AI. Now I plan to use the author’s useful prompts to gain a clearer picture of these areas.
Overall, the book explains everything clearly enough to bring you up to speed with AI. It includes many practical tips for improving your prompting ability and demonstrates how AI will shape our future, from autonomous driving to optimising agriculture.
So far, this is the best book I have read in terms of making AI both understandable and useful, and I highly recommend it.
